Introduction – MAT

MAT (Management Aptitude Test) is a standardized national level entrance exam, which is held for admissions to MBA/PGDM programs. MAT Score is valid and accepted in over 600 B-schools and allied programmes in India. It is conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA) 4 times a year (in the months of Feb, May, Sep and Dec)

MAT Exam Eligibility Criteria

• There is no age-limit and no restriction on the number of attempts for MAT Exam
• Candidate should be a graduate in any discipline, irrespective of the subjects (Engineering, Medicine or Commerce) studied from any recognized university
• Candidates will be required to clear the final year exam before starting their studies in a management school
• It is not a mandate for a candidate to have prior work experience

• No change is reported in MAT Exam Pattern for December session. There will be 200 objective questions that must be completed in 2.5 hours
• Each section (Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis & Sufficiency, Intelligence & Critical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and Indian & Global Environment) will have 40 MCQ questions

MAT exam is held in 50+ cities for Computer Based Test (CBT) as well as Paper Based Test (PBT) across the country.

Cutoffs MAT

• For Top B-schools, the cutoff is expected to touch 95+ percentile
• All candidates securing the minimum required cutoff will proceed towards the pre-admission rounds Group Discussion (GD), Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT) of the participating B-Schools
